      With heartfelt emotion, we invite you to join us for a Melava Malka commemorating 75 years since the founding of the Sulitza Bais Medrash, לזכר נשמת אבינו ר' יצחק בן ר' ברוך ז"ל.

​

     The Sulitza Bais Medrash was our father’s place of Torah and Tefillah from the time he moved to the community fifty years ago. Our family feels a deep kesher to this מקום תורה ותפלה. The Rebbe זצ"ל was a mentor and guide to our family for many years, and the Rebbe שליט״א has continued in that role. Together, they embody the mesorah to which our father ע״ה was completely devoted.

      Every Shabbos and Yom Tov, no matter how difficult, our father ע״ה walked from Lawrence to the Rebbe, at the far end of Far Rockaway. His dedication and mesirus nefesh were unwavering.

​

       It has been only a few months since our father’s petirah, and his absence in the Beis Medrash is deeply felt by all. As the Sulitza Bais Medrash celebrates seventy-five years, it is especially fitting to pay tribute to our father ע״ה by honoring his devotion, dedication, and selflessness. He was a pillar of the shul, and the shul was a pillar of our lives.

The Melava Malka will take place אי"ה on Motzoei Shabbos Kodesh פרשת תרומה, February 21, 2026, 8:30 PM, at Kahal Nesiv Hatorah (Rabbi Forst) 830 Hicksville Rd. West Lawrence NY.
