Dear Family and Friends עמו"ש,    

 

     The first yahrzeit of our beloved father, R’ Dovid Tzvi Ben Hachaver Avrohom ע"ה, is approaching, 18 Shvat, and we are extremely moved to be asked by the Sulitza Rebbe שליט"א, to have our father’s memory mentioned at this year’s Melave Malka.

​

     Our father ע"ה, along with our mother 'שתחי moved to Far Rockaway in 1956 and were part of the עשרה ראשונים in the Sulitza Bais Medrash in the home of the Sulitza Rebbe זצללה"ה on Roosevelt Court.

​

     Even though our father was born in Germany and upheld his father’s yekke minhagim, he was inspired by the Rebbe’s Kehila, his nusach, his niggunim, his caring and most of all the Rebbe’s sage Torah advice, wisdom and his great yiras shamayim.

​

     Our father had tremendous respect for the Rebbe and our mother always spoke so highly of the Rebbetzin ע"ה whose wise counsel she greatly valued.

​

     Although years have passed and we have physically moved away from where we were raised, we remain connected to the current Sulitza Rebbe Reb Yankel שליט"א, whose advice we still cherish and seek as a family along with our mother ZZ”G לאישו"ט.

​

     The Sulitza Bais Medrash and minyan was and continues to be the foundation of yiddishkeit of the Five Towns/Far Rockaway communities.

​
